Fans have been waiting much longer than anticipated for the shooter-RPG Deus Ex: Mankind Divided to arrive after a substantial delay resulted in the game missing its February launch date in favor of one in August. With E3 right around the corner, however, publisher Square Enix is hoping to get a jump start on the festivities by holding a reveal stream for a number of unannounced projects within the Deus Ex Universe, including a lengthy gameplay reveal for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Starting tomorrow, Eidos Montreal is planning to kick off the E3 party with an 18 minute demo of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, focusing mainly on the hub-city of Prague. The developer describes the area as dense, featuring a variety of characters, a number of side-quests to undertake, and lots of explorable interiors for players to discover. The stream is set to kick off tomorrow, June 8, at 11:30am EDT, on the official Deus Ex Twitch channel. Unfortunately, no additional details were provided for the other project reveals planned tomorrow as well.
It’s an interesting choice that Eidos Montreal has decided to show off Prague in the demo for tomorrow. At E3 last year, the Deus Ex team revealed almost 30 minutes of gameplay from the Prague city-hub as well. Almost one year later, fans are curious to exactly see how the game has evolved and with this latest demo showcasing something people have seen, it should be a great opportunity to see the changes.
The marketing efforts lately have increased steadily as more and more trailers have been released, most recently with an impressive live action version detailing the brewing conflict between humans and augmented individuals, which forms the backbone of the conflict within Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Many are expecting the game to make a big splash next week at E3 as well, potentially with additional gameplay to share.
Tomorrow promises to be a busy day, as Ubisoft is also planning on revealing the recently confirmed Watch_Dogs 2. Essentially thirty minutes after the Deus Ex stream wraps up, Ubisoft plans to fully pull the curtain back on the latest game, which fans got more information on earlier today thanks to an advertising leak. The banner ad which showed up on IGN seemingly revealed a brand new protagonist for the game and what appears to be the Golden Gate Bridge, potentially hinting at a new location. What’s more interesting is that Watch_Dogs 2 is apparently on track for release later this year on November 15, 2016.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided arrives on August 23 release for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
