Every Fallout Game is on Sale This Weekend

Bethesda and Steam offer a major discount on all existing Fallout titles and several Fallout compilations, slashing the cost of each game to under ten dollars.

Starting today and running through October 26th at 10AM PT, the entire Fallout series (sans the upcoming Fallout 4, which can be pre-ordered with bonuses on Steam) is on sale through Steam. Discounts vary, but some titles have received discounts as deep as 66%.

While some series sales tend to offer tiny discounts for the more recent games and only large discounts for the oldest, the Fallout series sale has cut every title to under 10 bucks. The entire list of games and sale prices is as follows:

  • Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game – $3.39 (66% off)
  • Fallout 2: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game – $3.39 (66% off)
  • Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel – $3.39 (66% off)
  • Fallout Classic Collection – $9.99 (50% off)
  • Fallout 3 – $3.39 (66% off)
  • Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition – $9.99 (50% off)
  • Fallout: New Vegas – $3.39 (66% off)
  • Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition – $9.99 (50% off)

While most Fallout diehards have undoubtedly played the majority of the series, this is a great opportunity for new players to give the tactical post-apocalyptic series a try. It’s also a chance for players to give the older entries to the series a go, since $3.39 is a pittance even if they end up not being to their liking.

This is the latest evidence that Bethesda is committed to not bleeding their fans’ wallets dry. They’ve previously announced that there will be no microtransactions in Fallout 4, entirely optional microtransactions in Fallout Shelter, and there’s also their decision to not bring back paid mods for Fallout 4. With all of this in mind, the latest entry in the Fallout series may end up becoming one of the least expensive games in recent history for gamers to purchase. While Fallout 4 will undoubtedly end up having paid DLC and expansions, the base game is reportedly huge, and free mods will also expand the game’s experience, so gamers shouldn’t feel shortchanged.

Bethesda seems like a pretty reputable developer that takes what their fans want into consideration, even when they’ve made blunders like the Skyrim paid mods fiasco. Much like the fun (and free) Halloween update to Fallout Shelter, this is quite the treat. In any case, all this money saved on microtransactions and and older Fallout titles should help gamers to save up for the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition – if they can ever find one for sale.

The Fallout Series sale is running now and will end on October 26th at 10AM PT.
