With StarCraft having now been a part of the collective consciousness for 20 years, the video game publisher and developer Blizzard has decided that a celebration is in order by giving fans of its games several free crossover items. The commemoration of the momentous occasion will extend to all of Blizzard’s active games, with the company offering various skins and in-game rewards to those still playing the titles.
To be more specific, Blizzard plans to give these free crossover items to players of Diablo 3, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch, StarCraft 2, Starcraft: Remastered, as well as World of Warcraft. Those looking to score the freebies will do well to note that the first in-game item giveaways begin on March 6, with there being several limited log in periods required to net the rewards lasting until April.
All of the items that each Blizzard game will get are fully detailed in the list below, along with all of the requirements one must fulfill in order to obtain the free loot in all of the active titles from the publisher and developer. Should one wish to get a better look at the items in question, Blizzard has made images of the loot available on the official StarCraft website ahead of the real-time strategy game’s March 31 anniversary.
In addition to the features listed above for StarCraft‘s 20th anniversary celebration, Blizzard also announced that a special video feature called “StarCraft is Life: A Celebration” will be released on the game’s actual anniversary date of March 31 that highlights some of the most major moments in the game’s history as told by fans of the franchise. What’s more is that a livestream celebration on March 30 and March 31 via Twitch will feature some of the most prominent StarCraft personalities to commemorate the occasion with Blizzard.
