The games industry is well on its way to complete Netflixication, and while that may scare some people, it does mean that subscribers to services like Xbox’s Game Pass can look forward to ever-growing libraries of games to play. This month, users will be granted access to a healthy dose of new titles, including the many-years-in-the-making Microsoft exclusive game Crackdown 3.
Of course, Terry Crews’ video game debut isn’t the only thing fans should be looking forward too. Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, the most recent entry in the rebooted Tomb Raider franchise, will also be coming to the service this month. Shadow of The Tomb Raider is a bit of a curious case. The game performed well enough critically, even garnering a solid score in our review, but has regularly been on sale for as much as half off its full price- indicating that it may not be performing very well as far as sales are concerned. It’s certainly wonderful that the game is being added, but it is a bit worrying considering how recently it released.

The other games aren’t quite as big, but the doesn’t mean they aren’t welcome additions to the lineup. Batman: Return To Arkham and The Walking Dead Season 1 are both major titles that have done well both critically and commercially, and should offer a good chunk of entertainment to both new and returning players. The closure of Telltale may hamper some of the enjoyment of The Walking Dead, but fans shouldn’t let it distract them too much, as they may have to make an important decision while playing. De Blob and Pumped BMX Pro will also be coming to the service.
Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, The Walking Dead, and Pumped BMX Pro will be the first games to be added to the service, becoming available for download on February 7th. Next up will be De Blob on February 14th, and Batman: Return To Arkham on February 21st. Crackdown 3 will be added to the service on February 15, which was confirmed by Microsoft earlier today.
This is one of the strongest lineups the service has added since its launch, and it’s great to see the library get so many great new games.
